Colleague :Mr Allwell Orji never showed any sign of depression
FRIENDS SAY DR. ALLWELL ORJI NEVER SHOWED SIGNS OF DEPRESSION
According to colleagues at the hospital where the 35-year-old Orji worked, he was a happy guy who did not show any signs of depression prior to the day he committed suicide
Others believe he could have bottled up his problems and refused to confide in anyone who could have been able to talk to him and if possible, offer assistance.
Dr. Orji was said to have jumped into the Third Mainland Bridge Lagoon along the Adekunle axis shortly after receiving a call. He reportedly told his driver to pull up and walked out of Sports Utility Vehicle and jumped into the lagoon on the evening of the day.
The General Manager of Lagos State Emergency Management Authority (LASEMA), Adesina Tiamiyu who confirmed the incident, said some local divers and men of the agency were still searching for the victim in the lagoon.
“The man parked his gray colored Nissan SUV with number plate, LND 476 EE, at about 4.50 pm on the Third Mainland Bridge, and jumped into the Lagos Lagoon.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the man, Orji, who was being driven by his driver, suddenly ordered the driver to pull over.
He alighted from the SUV and jumped into the lagoon from the bridge.
The vehicle and the driver have been taken to the Adeniji Adele Police Station. Efforts are ongoing to find him or recover his body from the lagoon.”
